Question:
Whenever I help someone, who do I really help?
The answer is always the same every Monday evening after spending the afternoon singing for the patients in palliative care at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal:
Myself, first.
If I speak to you about values of vulnerability, authenticity and generosity …
And if I say to you that we can almost resume our lives to theses:
The PRESENT-The FUTURE- Our MEMORIES
The bottom line is LOVE that we give and take.
Here’s a summary of what I find in palliative care … AND of what I heard yesterday at SYLVAIN GUIMOND’S LECTURE, a sports psychology doctor, who teaches NHL hockey players how to cuddle … Or, in other words, human beings to offer the best of themselves, beyond fear and appearances.
There is however a big difference with the patients of the hospital: the TIME factor which is much shorter on their side….
Thank you for this beautiful gift that reminds us not to wait ‘any longer’ to dive into the heart of what really matters…!
