Summer is already coming to an end …
But I hope that, just like me, you’ve fully enjoyed it!
I had the chance to sing in Orlando Florida with my ‘Up With People’ friends from all over the world, with whom I toured the US and Europe, let’s just say… a few years ago!

Since I was so close, I went to Disney World , where I felt like a little girl as if by magic…
And coincidentally, I was the musical director at Studio SPR a few weeks ago for the Walt Disney series Mike the Knight!
I have been fortunate to share my experience as a speaker in palliative care by giving a lecture to graduate students in Bioethics at the University of Montreal.
Here are some of my thoughts I shared with them:
«In my career so far, I’ve had wonderful rewarding moments, winning the Granby festival as a singer-songwriter, being the opening act of many comedians and singers such as Charles Trenet, Gilbert Bécaud or Whitney Houston in Hong Kong. I had the chance to sing in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in Paris, in Las Vegas in front of Michel Legrand or with Jean Lapointe, recently.
But I can say that never, never have I felt as useful as singing for people who will soon pass away. »
«What is striking too, when you get in touch with people in the last stages of their life is how much you are suddenly projected into the present, because that is ALL we have. Suddenly time stops and I get the great gift of the present; its magic, its intensity, its fullness, its food for the soul. I then find solace. »
«By singing in palliative care, I receive the grace to forget about myself, in all humility, to seek the best in me and offer it.
Leaving all the breathing room to the others makes you feel lighter.
Simply BEING, freeing yourself from always DOING and SHOWING UP, that also makes you feel lighter. »
Heart-warming French Songs… Classics with a Jazzy Lounge touch…
I continue to honour my corporate commitments and am having a blast !!
We added Special Requests a bit cliché but smart Grégory Charles style (see video section) and they push us farther (hard to believe, but they do). We are also working on a new lounge concept featuring French songs… We tried it on stage and the reception was amazing!! It was an instant hit for the public and us. By us, I mean my friend and pianist GaétanDaignault, who plays divinely, and Alain Picotte, a gifted bass player with a lot of flair. More shows will be coming soon… Stay tuned!
My latest album, the White Project, was released in 2009. The first single, “Love of You”, played in more than 35 radio stations throughout Québec, New Brunswick and Ontario, climbed all the way to the 27th spot on the ADISQ music chart, which is no small feat!! Thanks to Dola Communication’s Dominique Lalande’s incredible radio-tracking work, Jean Brouillard and his team’s precious collaboration in managing press relations and, last but not least, Alain April’s assistance with the launch at the Bonne Entente Hotel.

This is an English album (my first draft is always in English !) produced by Lina Jean, made in close collaboration with my friend Jacques Gaines, formerly of “Soul Attorneys”. It is a very upbeat, folk-pop album in which I play both guitar and keyboards: it is truly worth a listen.
